The role:

We are looking for a self-motivated and results-driven General Manager in Belgium to direct and manage our organisation's business activities and to develop and implement effective strategies and programs across the Belgium business functions as required by the Ixaris Group.

The General Manager for Belgium holds ultimate responsibility for the day to day running of Ixaris Belgium. His duties will include allocating budget resources, formulating policies, coordinating business operations with our offices in London and Malta, monitoring and motivating staff, managing operational costs, improving outsourcing and administration processes, and coordinate the hiring and training of employees.


  • Leading the company and ensuring all employees buy into the company and the group vision
  • Setting the overall strategic direction of the company alongside the board
  • Planning and implementing long term business strategies to achieve the company’s objectives
  • Meeting with the Finance Manager on a regular basis to review the company’s financial performance
  • Interviewing for senior positions within the organisation and signing off offers of employment
  • Working closely with the Group Sales Director on sales strategy and approach to winning new business
  • Carrying out regular SWOT analysis to mitigate any potential risks through industry and market changes
  • Looking for opportunities to increase efficiencies and speed up processes across the business
  • Implementing new processes and procedures across the business
  • Setting KPI’s to gauge company performance in all areas
  • Setting budgets and forecasts alongside the Finance Manager
  • Reporting results to the Board on a quarterly and annual basis
  • Analyzing opportunities for growth in market segments to drive profitability
  • Succession planning for senior members of the company to ensure all departments are managed continuously
  • Act as an escalation point for HR issues within the Belgian team
  • Develop and maintains office staff well-being budgets
  • Set policies and processes with HR
  • Evaluate and improve overall operations
  • Direct the employee assessment process across the Belgian company
  • Ensure employees follow health and safety regulations


  • Degree in Business Management, Master’s in Business Administration or similar
  • Previous experience in the payments or travel industry is a must and experience in a regulated business is a plus
  • Good knowledge of different business functions, proven track record of successfully managing similar sized organisations
