Vertical Lead

On the back of successive years of growth providing market-leading payment technology in the travel industry, Ixaris are excited to be expanding its newly created Innovation division.  We are therefore seeking a skilled professional to lead our accelerated growth journey outside of the travel industry, working closely with the Senior Leadership Team to prioritise and pursue opportunities for growth within our business verticals.  The work will be varied & fast-paced, so the candidate would need to bring a knack for learning quickly and transpose their industry knowledge into a robust and profitable payment strategy for Ixaris.

 This role will report directly into the Innovation Director at the Ixaris HQ in London.

Key responsibilities

  • Overall ownership of one of our business verticals, including sales and coordinating cross-functionally with the Ixaris Group on marketing, product-marketing, technology & product development
  • Develop and execute strategy for all revenue-making with the vertical
  • Provide guidance and thought leadership on further product & business development in the respective vertical. 
  • Be the ‘go to’ person for all expertise in this vertical.
Key duties
  • Liaise with the wider Ixaris Group to build momentum and growth for the vertical
  • Lead the business development activities for the vertical, setting the agenda & strategy for all client facing & internal & external communications
  • Work very closely with the Head of Strategic Growth to ensure that all relevant internal parties are aligned on growing the vertical, both product offering and geographically
  • Provide regular updates & reports into the Innovation Director, building a joint plan for innovation growth at Ixaris
  • Work closely with Ixaris’ nominated payment schemes (Mastercard, Visa etc) to devise joint working plans & align on business development opportunities
  • Own & lead all sales functions at Ixaris for the vertical – devise pricing & product overviews, working closely with the finance & product groups
  • Be the advocate for the Ixaris vertical – attending industry events and work to increase the presence of Ixaris within the vertical

 Experience

  • Ideally experience in leading a team, particularly focused on business development
  • Experience in building & executing strategies across multiple business lines
  • 5-10 years’ experience working in payments
  • Degree level education ideal, but not required
  • A proven track record at delivering revenue
